PMA GT1 Regulations
 
1. Regulations
 
  1. These regulations are specific to the PMA specification GT1, known as 'Grav Touring Cars'.
  2. GT1 cars are class C production grav cars with driver aides disabled, and maximum power ratings and minimum weights enforced.
  3. A maximum of 6 crew members may work on a single car each race.
  4. A co-driver or navigator is optional.
  5. Purposely manipulating the result of a race or stage is strictly prohibited and will result in the exclusion of both cars involved.
  6. GT1 cars must be available for sale to the public subject to minimum production numbers and a maximum price.
2. Power
  1. GT1 cars may not exceed 1000kW power output at any time.
  2. Energy storage is subject to a maximum at each event.
3. Weight
  1. GT1 cars may not weight less than 500kg including the driver and co-driver at any time.
4. Identification
  1. Each car will carry a number assigned by the PMA at the beginning of the season.
5. Scoring
  1. In order to be eligible for the drivers, teams or manufacturers championship, all rounds of the championship must be fully participated in. Exception will be made for drivers that are not medically fit to drive as determined by PMA Medical staff.
  2. The manufacturers score only their best finish each race, with all races counting to the final championship.
  3. Finishes that are not the highest in their team, manufacturer or nation are not scored. Example 1st - JSI, 2nd - JSI, 3rd - VW, VW receives 2nd place points.
  4. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.  1 additional point is awarded to the driver who wins each stage.
  5. Cars that have been declared out of the event may continue to compete for stage wins.
  6. If a race has completed 1/4 of it's scheduled distance and cannot be completed, half points are awarded in each championship.
  7. If a race has completed 1/2 of it's scheduled distance and cannot be completed, full points are awarded.
6. Hillclimb/Run
  1. Hillclimb or a Run is a single stage, single car timed event with 1 qualifying run to determine starting order.
  2. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.
  3. Drivers must qualify the car and complete the entire run to score championship points.
7. Rally
  1. A Rally consists of a series of single car timed special stages with varied terrain run over 2 or 3 days. Cars must drive to each stage on public roads.
  2. A navigator is used.
  3. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.  1 additional point is awarded to the driver who wins each stage.
  4. Cars that have been declared out of the event may continue to compete for stage wins.
  5. Drivers must complete the entire rally to score championship points.
8. Targa/TT
  1. A Targa or Tourist Trophy race consists of a single timed run around a closed course for a set number of laps, starting order determined by a 1 lap qualifying round.
  2. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.
  3. Drivers must qualify the car and complete the entire race to score championship points.
9. Rallycross
  1. A Rallycross consists of heat races of six cars around a closed course.
  2. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.
  3. Drivers must compete in all races to score championship points.
10. Raid
  1. A Raid is a timed long distance multiple day point to point timed event.
  2. A co-driver or navigator is used.
  3. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.
11. Road Race
  1. A Road Race is a single race on a closed course over a set number of laps.
  2. Cars carry enough charge for the complete race.
  3. Begins with a standing start from a staggered grid of two cars per row.
  4. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.
  5. Drivers must qualify the car and complete the entire race to score championship points.
12. Endurance Road Race
  1. A Endurance Road Race is a single race on a closed course for a set duration of time.
  2. Drivers substitutions and re-charge pitstops are necessary.
  3. Begins with a echelon start from a row at the side of the track.
  4. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.
  5. Only a driver that qualifies the car, starts the race, finishes the race and completes at least one third of the entire race is eligible to score championship points.
13. Oval Race
  1. A Oval Race is a long distance single race on a long closed course for a set number of laps.
  2. Re-charge pitstops are necessary.
  3. Begins with a rolling start from a grid of two cars per row.
  4. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.
  5. Drivers must complete the entire race to score championship points.
14. Endurance Oval Race
  1. A Endurance Oval Race is a long distance single race on a long closed course for a set duration of time.
  2. Driver substitutions and re-charge pitstops are necessary.
  3. Begins with a rolling start from a grid of two cars per row.
  4. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.
  5. Only a driver that qualifies the car, starts the race, finishes the race and completes at least one third of the entire race is eligible to score championship points.
15. Dirt Oval Race
  1. A Dirt Oval Race is a series of heat races of six cars around a short dirt oval.
  2. Begins with a rolling start from a grid of two cars per row.
  3. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.
  4. Drivers must compete in all races to score championship points.
16. Drag Race
  1. A Drag Race is a series of head to head eliminations from a standing start on a straight track.
  2. Points are awarded as follows from 1st to 8th:  20-16-12-10-8-6-4-2.
  3. Drivers must compete in all races to score championship points.
